There is always a buzz around the Pantone colour of the year - Classic Blue is the colour for 2020 - but does it really make a difference to people’s lives, events and do wedding clients even care? From my experience - No they don’t - most people that are planning their big day already have a colour scheme in mind so “colour of the year” doesn’t really matter.

Blue means all things and has a universal appeal to people with so many meanings/associations depending on the exact tone. On the darker side of the spectrum navy blue presents - solid, upright, quality and dignity whereas one the opposite side light blue, evokes comparisons with the sky and the sea implying serenity and calm. This Classic blue is found in between these two extremes.
So there it is CLASSIC BLUE - in all its simple glory. Some people will care and some won’t. Personally it has never been one of my favourite colours but hey maybe this year it will grow on me.
